Kinesiology for Kids
Working with children is something I deeply love.
With over 20 years’ experience in children’s services, I create a safe, calm and supportive space where children can relax, feel comfortable, and be themselves.
Children often express what they’re feeling through their behaviour. Together, we gently uncover what’s sitting underneath that, so they can feel more settled, regulated and at ease.
Each session is guided by the child and what they need on the day. Sometimes we chat, sometimes we work quietly, and sometimes we use simple tools to help them express what they may not yet have words for.
I always explain the process in a way that feels safe and easy for them to understand. Using gentle muscle testing, we “talk” to their body to identify and release stress in a calm and supportive way.
Parents are welcome to stay in the room, wait nearby, or step out for a break – whatever feels best for you and your child.
Every child is different, and sessions are guided by what your child needs on the day.
Babies
Babies can have their energy balanced this often is helpful for feeding, sleeping, or food issues, this is done through testing the mums arm whilst holding the baby or having them lay on you whilst you are on the table. If it’s not possible to have the baby in the session we can use the mother as a surrogate.
Toddlers
With toddlers, it can be difficult for them to sit still or engage in a full session, so we work a little differently.
In these sessions, we use mum (or a parent/carer) as a surrogate. This means we connect to your child’s energy through you, allowing us to gently identify and release any stress or imbalance they may be experiencing.
We begin with a conversation about what’s been going on for your child, then move into the session using gentle techniques to support their system.
After the session, I may suggest simple ways to continue supporting your child at home, such as light acupressure, essential oils, or other calming tools to help integrate the work.
This method is very gentle, yet incredibly effective, and I have seen beautiful shifts in many children through this approach.
School age 5-10 years
Children in this age group are usually very open and happy to engage in a session.
We create a safe, relaxed space where they can chat, express how they’re feeling, and be supported in a way that feels comfortable for them. Sessions may include a mix of conversation, gentle muscle testing, and simple tools to help them process what’s going on.
A parent or guardian is usually present for these sessions and is welcome to contribute where needed. As children become more comfortable, they often gain confidence and may choose to have part of the session on their own, with parents joining at the end to discuss anything important or any simple support strategies for home.

Older children 10-17 years
Sessions for older children and teenagers are guided by what feels most comfortable for them.
Many prefer to have their session independently, giving them a safe and private space to talk openly and be supported one-on-one. Others may feel more comfortable with a parent present for part of the session, especially at the beginning.
We always follow their lead.
These sessions focus on helping them understand what they’re experiencing, release stress, and feel more grounded, supported and in control of themselves.
